Salpicón is the result of Black Tuna Seeds‘ intentions to bring another fruit-tinged strain to the native line and decided to get their Grape Zkittlez out of the stable and use it in this cross. They picked the Mermelada as the mother which itself is a cross of the previously mentioned Grape Zkittlez hit with the Nicole Kush and then cross that onto their native male hybrid.

The male variety used to pollinate their Grape Zkitttlez is their Colombian Gold (Pink Pheno) x Mazar Sharif which uses a native Colombian Gold Pheno found in the mountain region known as Matitas, Guajira. The resulting progeny produces super-large dense buds with a mid-sized internode with large fan leaves that is exceptionally vigorous.
